Intenational evening “Meet the world”: India

The event will be in English and takes place in SA Domus Dorpatensis (Ülikooli 7, 1st floor).

International discussion evenings “Meet the World” will continue this year and the March edition will bring us to India. We will visit the country of ancient trading routes, most post offices and Bollywood with two interesting guests.

Our first guest is an Indian Chandana who is currently broadening her academic horizons as a PhD student of Molecular Biology at University of Tartu.

We also present Leho Rubis who is an Estonian artist and musician who has great passion for Indian culture and thus has visited India several times. For a longer period he studied art in Dharamsala and took Indian flute courses in Varanasi. A notable part of his creation is influenced by Indian culture. He is also the organiser of the festival “Kolmkõla” (“Triad”) that brings together three forms of fine arts  – painting, music and poetry.
