Intenational evening “Meet the world”: Azerbaijan

The event will be in English and takes place in SA Domus Dorpatensis (Ülikooli 7, 1st floor).

The June edition of the international discussion evenings “Meet the World” will bring us to Azerbaijan – the country at the crossroads of Asia and Europe, distinguished for its culture, natural diversity and richness in oil and natural gas. We will have two interesting guests as guides: Arzu Gulijeva and Elshan Mammadov.

Arzu’s parents are from Azerbaijan, but moved to Estonia almost 30 years ago. Arzu herself was born in Estonia and feels like an Estonian, though her interests and looks hint at her exotic roots. She is studying sociology, social work and social policy in University of Tartu.

Elshan Mammadov is from Azerbaijan, doing his Master’s degree in Baltic Studies in University of Tartu.
